Mace Personal Pepper Spray – 12 Ft Range, Belt Clip

You want pepper spray that’s actually on you when something goes sideways — not sitting on your nightstand or buried in a bag you can’t dig through fast enough. The Mace Personal Pepper Spray hits a practical middle ground: more bursts than a keychain unit, compact enough to clip to your belt or bag strap, and ready to use without fumbling for a safety switch.

Who This Pepper Spray Is For

This one’s built for people who move through the world on their own terms and want protection that keeps up. Retail and healthcare workers heading to their car after a late shift. College students covering ground between buildings at night. Dog walkers, delivery drivers, and commuters who need something clipped on and ready — not zipped into a bag. If you’ve already got a tiny keychain spray and feel like you’d burn through it too fast in a real situation, or you’ve got a large home-defense can that never leaves your house, this is the carry you’ve been looking for.

Is It the Right Fit for You?

Choose It If You Want

• More capacity than a keychain unit without the bulk of a home-defense can
• A belt clip that keeps the spray accessible, not buried
• UV marking dye that helps identify an attacker after the fact
• A flip-top cap that prevents accidents but opens fast when it counts

Consider Another Option If You Need

• A longer spray range beyond 12 feet — a larger canister may be a better fit
• The smallest possible footprint for a purse or pocket — a keychain unit is more compact
• Gel or foam formula instead of a stream — different formulas suit different environments

Mace Personal Pepper Spray Features and Benefits

• OC Formula: Oleoresin capsicum — the same active ingredient in police-grade sprays — causes intense irritation to the eyes, skin, and respiratory system, giving you time to get distance and get away.
• 18–20 One-Second Bursts: Far more capacity than a keychain unit, so one accidental discharge or one test burst doesn’t leave you empty when it matters.
• 12-Foot Stream Range: A stream pattern keeps the spray on target and puts real distance between you and a threat before they can close the gap.
• UV Marking Dye: Leaves an invisible mark on an attacker’s skin and clothing that shows up under ultraviolet light — useful for identification after the fact.
• Flip-Top Safety Cap: Stays closed against accidental discharge in a bag or pocket, but flips open quickly when you need it — no extra steps, no delay.
• Belt Clip with Ball Keychain: Clips to a waistband, bag strap, or lanyard so it’s within reach rather than buried. Carry it the way that fits your routine.
• Compact Size — 4¼” x 1¼” x 1″: At 0.63 oz and 0.2 lbs, this rides along without getting in the way, yet holds enough formula to count as real protection.

How the Mace Personal Pepper Spray Compares

Not every carry situation calls for the same tool. Here’s how this unit stacks up against the two most common alternatives.

Pepper spray is legal to own and carry in most U.S. states, but some states, cities, and venues place restrictions on formula strength, canister size, or where you can carry. Check your local laws before ordering or carrying this outside your home.

Mace Personal Pepper Spray: Frequently Asked Questions

How many bursts does the Mace Personal Pepper Spray give you?

It delivers 18–20 one-second bursts per canister. That’s meaningfully more than most keychain units, which means one test burst or one accidental discharge doesn’t leave you without options. It’s a practical amount of capacity for a canister you actually carry day to day.

What kind of spray pattern does the Mace Personal Pepper Spray use?

It uses a stream pattern. Stream formulas are more accurate in a wind and less likely to blow back on you than a fog or cone. The tradeoff is that stream requires you to aim. At 12 feet of range, you have enough distance to do that with a clear head.

Does this pepper spray work on the keychain or does it only clip to a belt?

It comes with both a belt clip and a ball keychain, so you can carry it either way. Clip it to your waistband or bag strap for fast access, or attach it to your keyring if that fits your routine better. The clip detaches if you prefer keychain carry only.

Is the Mace Personal Pepper Spray legal where I live?

It’s legal in most U.S. states, but laws vary — some places restrict canister size, OC concentration, or where you can carry pepper spray in public. It’s worth a quick check of your state and local ordinances before you order. Your county sheriff’s website or a local attorney can point you in the right direction.

Add This Pepper Spray to Your Daily Carry

Clip it to your belt, attach it to your bag, or run it on your keychain — however it fits your routine, the point is having it with you. Pick your carry preference and add it to your cart.
